An Affordable Introduction: 2018 Acura ILX Sedan
As Acura's most affordable sport sedan gateway to the Acura lineup, the versatile ILX sedan continues to find an eager audience for its sophisticated design, lively performance and upmarket quality. For 2018, the Acura ILX adds a Special Edition trim, which includes 18-inch wheels, side sills and a rear spoiler from the A-Spec package, making it an excellent value in its class. The Special Edition adds to a long list of standard equipment on all ILX models including Acura JewelEye® LED headlights, an eight-way power driver's seat, multi-view rearview camera, auto on/off headlights, one-touch power moonroof, Bluetooth® HandsFree Link®, five-inch Multi-View Display, keyless smart entry with push-button start, security system, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob.
Both ILX A-Spec-equipped trims—Premium and Tech Plus—feature sporty side sill garnishes, a decklid spoiler, front fog lights, 18-inch 10-spoke machined alloy wheels, and exterior A-Spec badging in three locations: left and right front fenders and trunk lid. Inside, A-Spec trims enhance the cabin appeal with an exclusive Premium Black interior color scheme including a black headliner, perforated black Lux Suede® seat inserts, red instrument illumination, exclusive gray interior stitching and aluminum brake and throttle pedals.
The ILX Premium trims include leather seating surfaces, Blind Spot Information and Cross Traffic Monitor, HD Radio™ and Aha™, driver's two-position memory seat, front passenger four-way power seat, eight-inch upper display, seven-inch On-Demand Multi-Use Display touch screen, HomeLink® and more. Tech Plus adds AcuraWatch™ as standard equipment, as well as a color TFT multi-information display, AcuraLink™, Acura Navigation System with Voice Recognition and AcuraLink Real-Time Traffic™ with Traffic Rerouting.
Power for the ILX sedan is produced by a 2.4L direct-injected four-cylinder i-VTEC engine. Torque is communicated to the front wheels via an eight-speed dual clutch automatic transmission (DCT) with torque converter and paddle-controlled Sequential Sport Shift.
Inside the passenger cabin is quiet and luxurious, brimming with technological innovations.
