Something Different: 2017 Lincoln MKZ Sedan

The new 2017 Lincoln MKZ sedan is designed to appeal to those who are looking for something different in the luxury market. From the placement of technology features such as the push-button gear shift to reimagined interior spaces including the floating center console, drivers can relish in discovering an unexpected experience based on intelligent function and beautiful form that offers, above all, an enjoyable drive.

Available in Premiere, Select, Reserve and Black Label trim levels, base power is generated by a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine. A Lincoln-exclusive 3.0L GTDI V6 engine is an available option. Both prime movers communicate torque to the street though a six-speed SelectShift automatic transmission with paddle shift activation. All wheel drive is also available.

The optional Lincoln Drive Control allows drivers to adjust among three drive modes – comfort, normal and sport. The system includes continuously controlled damping, and electric power-assisted steering to provide comfortable, confident handling.

The optional Driver’s Package for Lincoln MKZ equipped with the 3.0L V6 also includes 19-inch wheels, Ebony-painted calipers, light Magnetic-painted grille, Ebony interior with carbon fiber appliqués, customizable multi-contour seats and aluminum pedal covers. In addition, the package features retuned continuously controlled damping and suspension for enhanced driving dynamics.

Inside the passenger cabin, a quiet, well-appointed interior is enhanced by standard Active Noise Control, genuine wood trim, full LCD instrumentation, heated front seats and SYNC® with MyLincoln Touch™. Replacing the traditional mechanical transmission shift lever is a contemporary five-button interface. The individual buttons of Push Button Shift engage Park, Neutral, Reverse, and forward gears in two modes, Drive and Sport. Push Button Shift gave designers freedom to create a sculptural multi-level center console with more functional storage areas.

Positioned ahead of the driver, the full-color 10.1-inch LCD instrument cluster operates with the latest version of SYNC with MyLincoln Touch. The all-new design combines dimensional indicator rings framing a brilliant and reconfigurable Thin Film Transistor (TFT) LCD. An equally critical component of MyLincoln Touch is the nearly flush-mounted center eight-inch LCD touch screen that displays information clearly in easy-to-reference color-keyed quadrants.
